My first weeks with Directus, not really sure about it

I have been speaking with a few companies advertised as official Directus dev partners but I’m getting evasive answers. I asked to have a modal login, or customized user dashboard with custom menus, or API integration with medusa.js, or geofencing, or custom icons markers,… and either they say it’s not possible or they claim it would cost thousands more on top of the average 40K-100K they are asking (which makes me think they are just speculating on the new hype).

I’m wondering if they are really capable of doing the job or if Directus is. Also the showcase websites don’t seem to be using Directus anymore. So, can anyone link me to some real-life examples (screenshots) of real customization?

Yes, it’s possible. I’ve already implemented several customizations directly in the Directus source, including frozen and wrapped table columns, inline editing in overview, role-based menus, a sidebar toggle for fullscreen mode, dynamic bookmarks, and a few UI improvements like better duplication and save-and-stay behavior. These are all running smoothly from a custom Directus Docker image.
