Directus OAuth on Expo react native

Hello everyone!
Is there a way to implement OAuth login (e.g., Google or Apple) in an Expo React Native app using Directus?

If this is possible, it would significantly enhance the user experience. Directus would no longer serve just as a CMS—it could become a complete backend solution for both mobile and web applications.

There could be a package for Expo that could make this easy ? because using the current directus approach for OAuth will not look good on Expo or even not work

Currently, as of today (Saturday, Jun 14, 2025), we don’t have a way to use Directus as an OAuth provider. But I can certainly see the value in that feature.

I’d highly recommend checking out the open issues and feature requests in the Directus GitHub repo.

If you don’t see an existing request to add your feedback to, I’d definitely create a new feature request there. The team reviews those regularly and community interest helps prioritize development.
